# Content-Based Matchmaking

## Get Matched with Relatable Stories

**Match based on the content you put out** such as emotions, confessions, or lifestyle. We avoided going the normal dating app route of swiping on user profiles for the following reasons:

1. To allow our users to maintain their anonymity if they so choose.
2. Dating app users spend on average, less than a second looking at each user profile
3. Profile-based swiping promotes swiping based on the attractiveness, status, and race of a potential partner
4. At XO, our goal is to create meaningful and deeper connections. We want users to actually read the content others are putting out.
5. Users' content will be recorded on [Cyber L2](https://docs.cyber.co/) to empower creators to own the links between themselves and their community, forming a fully composable, decentralized social graph.

{% hint style="info" %}
We found that our users spend more time on each card, have a higher like-to-view ratio, and have a higher response rate than traditional dating apps.
